Principal / Corporate Communications / CC&B
Principal, Corporate Communications, will support the development and execution of the company’s internal and external communications strategies that further strengthen the company brand. This individual will work closely with the functional head to maintain a consistent and positive image of the company and relationships with key stakeholders around the world, including media, employees, customers and patients. This position will be based in Japan.
〇 Develop the yearly internal communications plan and rhythm, aligned to corporate strategy, and deliver the tactics.
〇 Conduct events to effectively to engage internal stakeholders such as Town Hall Meetings and companywide events.
〇 Develop fresh story ideas and distribute through appropriate channel
〇 Create internal corporate materials
〇 Support the leaders in messaging and internal executive communications.
〇 Work with APAC/Global Communications colleagues to ensure alignment
【External communication and Media Management】
〇 Develop the yearly external communications plan and rhythm, aligned to corporate strategy, and deliver the tactics.
〇 Develop key messages and talking points
〇 Work with internal stakeholders to develop/distribute press releases, fact sheets, and other public documents.
〇 Support the spokesperson of the company provide appropriate briefings ahead of any media activities as required.
〇 Manage Media handling / press conference at a critical event for a company.
〇 Develop all plans and content and deliver through appropriate channel including digital
〇 Work with Global Communication colleagues to ensure communications messages are aligned with Global
〇 Manages vendor relationships to ensure departmental objectives are met. Provides direction and establishes solutions in support of continuous improvement.
〇 Develop CSR strategies and implement the activities
【Issues and Crisis Management】
〇 Handle the communication crisis situations that may emerge
〇 Provide quality communication advice to stakeholders where decisions could heighten or create issues related to employee or corporate reputational risk.
〇 Closely work with fellow leaders to identify potential issues early and create plans to lower the level of risk where required.
〇 Where required develop communications materials to support the business in managing any issues including media holding lines, FAQ documents, employee scripts and hot issues briefs for senior leaders.
〇 Develop/revise necessary communication guideline and SOP and oversee and approve communication materials as required.

〇 Proven track record of communication ability
〇 Broad knowledge and skills in corporate and product communications
〇 Direct and deliver effective executive communications and thought leadership.
〇 Rich experience in dealing with journalists
〇 Strong knowledge of the overall digital and social media landscape with the ability to deliver innovative approaches and plans.
〇 Demonstrated knowledge of industry and health care environment
〇 Strong business acumen – specifically interpretation of complex business messages for a broad audience
〇 Business skills such as presentation, facilitation, logical thinking, and negotiation
〇 Knowledge and sensitivity to a variety of cultures
〇 Demonstrated ability to work with various stakeholders
〇 Effective communication skills with people at all levels, including ability to use diplomacy, and persuasiveness
〇 Relevant experience of working on an intranet or other online communications tools
〇 Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize
〇 Attention to detail
〇 Able to lead, manage, and execute multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
〇 Exceptional writing and excellent Japanese skills
〇 Message and story writing skills in English
〇 At least 10 years’ experience in Communication agency/Communications roles
〇 Experience in crisis / issues management
〇 Experience in Healthcare industry
